No Account Required

FX Pulse does not require an account, registration, or login. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information such as your name, email address, or payment details.

Information Stored Locally

The following data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage, and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Invoice amounts and target payout amounts you type into the extension
• Rate targets and watches you set for notifications
• Your slider and pair preferences (e.g. linked/unlinked state)
• Cached exchange rates and 30-day rate history, so the popup works offline

This data never leaves your device and can be removed at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension's storage.

Exchange Rate Data

To display live exchange rates, the extension requests European Central Bank reference (mid-market) rates from frankfurter.dev, with open.er-api.com as a fallback. These requests fetch currency rates only; they do not include your invoice amounts, targets, or any personal information. As with any web request, these services may technically receive your IP address as part of standard network communication. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for details.

Notifications and Background Checks

When you set a rate watch, the extension checks exchange rates approximately every 30 minutes and displays a desktop notification when the market crosses your target rate. These checks only fetch public exchange rates; your targets are evaluated locally on your device.

Advertising

FX Pulse displays a small advertising banner at the bottom of the extension popup. Ads appear only within the extension interface and never on the websites you visit. The extension does not read, modify, or inject content into web pages. Our advertising partner may collect limited, non-identifying technical information (such as approximate location derived from IP address, browser language, or device type) to serve and measure ads. We do not share your browsing history, invoice amounts, or any data you enter in the extension with advertisers.
