Privacy Policy — Quick Video Snippets

The short version
No accounts, no profiles, no tracking pixels. Nothing is recorded until you press start. Videos you record are uploaded to private cloud storage and are reachable only by people who have the link. Uninstalling the extension permanently deletes every video you created.
What we collect
- An anonymous device identifier, created when the extension is installed. It is random, contains no personal information, and exists so your uploads belong to your device and can be deleted together.
- The videos you choose to upload, stored encrypted at rest in a private Amazon S3 bucket, together with their size and creation time.
- Your extension version and interface language, used only for aggregate statistics.
What we never collect
- Your name, email address, or any account data — there are no accounts.
- Your browsing history, open tabs, or page content.
- Any recording you did not explicitly start and explicitly upload.
Sharing links
Each video gets an unguessable link. Anyone you give the link to can watch and download the video; the pages are excluded from search-engine indexing. Playback happens through short-lived signed URLs — the storage bucket itself is not publicly accessible.
Deletion
When you uninstall the extension, our uninstall endpoint deletes all videos associated with your device from both storage and our database, permanently. You can also uninstall/reinstall at any time to rotate your device identity.
Custom storage
The extension lets you point uploads at your own storage endpoint instead of ours. In that case, videos never touch our servers and this policy does not apply to that storage.
