One prank

Done properly, since the Alexa era

Serious engineering, unserious purpose

Every feature you never knew a fart machine needed.

No. 01

The floating hand

A tasteful, draggable hand sits in the corner of every page, awaiting instructions. Hover and click for an instant fart; the hand changes color with every blast.

No. 02

Pull-strength physics

Press, drag downward and release. The harder you pull, the bigger the sound — a full-strength pull unleashes a premium blast with golden glow, confetti and a screen shake.

No. 03

Stealth Prank Mode

Arm it on a colleague's unattended browser. The hand hides itself and farts fire at random moments, until a dramatic reveal: “It was me all along!”

No. 04

Streak combos

Chain three or more farts in quick succession for combo effects. Reach a streak of seven and something classified happens.

No. 05

Lifetime counter

The toolbar badge keeps a running total of every fart you've ever fired. A number to be proud of, or to explain to IT.

No. 06

Worldwide scoreboard

A daily top-50 ranking of the planet's most prolific farters, reset at midnight UTC. Your row highlighted, your fart name immortalized.

From install to first fart in thirty seconds

No manual required. But here's one anyway.

01

Install the extension

One click on the Chrome Web Store. No account, no configuration.

02

Find the hand

A floating hand appears in the bottom corner of every web page. Hold Alt and drag to move it; hover and hit × to dismiss it on a tab.

03

Click — or pull

A click gives an instant fart. A press-drag-release gives a fart proportional to your pull. Commit fully for the premium blast.

04

Check your stats

The toolbar icon fires quick farts and counts your lifetime total. Every ten farts, the stats page shows your worldwide ranking.

Prank Mode, a field guide

Surprise farts on a friend's browser at random moments — in stealth, the hand hides itself, leaving no visible clue.

Arm it

  • Long-press the floating hand for about one second, or
  • open the settings page and switch Enable Prank Mode on, then save.

What happens

  • The hand vanishes. Farts fire at random intervals — on a timer, and with a configurable chance on every page they open.
  • After ten surprise farts (configurable), the hand reveals itself — “It was me all along!” — with a red Stop Prank Mode button.

Disarm it

  • Click the red Stop Prank Mode button next to the hand,
  • long-press the hand again, or switch it off in the settings.
Prank responsibly: only on browsers of people who'll laugh about it. All it ever does is play sounds — no data is touched, nothing is changed.

The worldwide daily scoreboard

Every fart counts — clicks, pulls and prank farts alike. The top 50 farters of the day, ranked, with your row highlighted. Resets at midnight UTC.

Your fart name

Everyone gets a fun alias on install — hello, Captain Thunderpants #42. Change it any time in the settings.

Fine-tune everything

Right-click the toolbar icon and choose Options: prank frequency, page-visit chance, stealth, reveal threshold and the every-ten-farts stats page.

Anonymous by design

The scoreboard stores only a random device identifier, your fart name and daily counts. No personal data, ever.

Questions, answered

Everything people ask before adding Pull My Finger to Chrome.

Is Pull My Finger free?

Yes. Pull My Finger is completely free on the Chrome Web Store. There is no account to create, no sign-up and no subscription — install it and start farting.

Is this the same Pull My Finger as the Alexa skill?

Same prank, new home. OpenJargon made the original Pull My Finger voice skill for Amazon Alexa; this Chrome extension brings the fart machine to your browser, with pull-strength farts, Prank Mode and a worldwide daily scoreboard the Echo version never had.

Does the extension collect my data?

No personal data and no browsing history. The only thing stored on our servers is your anonymous scoreboard entry: a random device identifier, your fun fart name and your daily fart counts. Read the full privacy policy.

Does it work on every website?

The floating hand appears on regular web pages. Chrome blocks extensions on browser-internal pages (like chrome:// pages and the Web Store), so the hand stays polite there — but the toolbar icon farts everywhere.

Is it safe for work?

The extension plays sounds and nothing else — it never touches your files, tabs or data. Whether the sounds themselves are safe for your workplace is between you and your volume button.

Your finger. Their browser. Comedy.

Pull My Finger is free on the Chrome Web Store.
